The ninth annual Worcester 5K Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk will take place on Sunday May 1, 2011.
Registration Begins at 10 a.m.
Walk Begins at Noon from the Bancroft School, 110 Shore Drive, Worcester
Rain or Shine!!
This walk was started by a Bancroft student in honor of his mom and has become an annual Spring tradition. Last year’s walk raised more than $30,000 to help fight this disease. This year we hope to bring our total raised over nine years to over $250,000. Please help by participating in the walk or by sponsoring a walker.
At the walk, there will be activities for kids, a raffle of gift cards and items donated by local restaurants and merchants, and a silent auction including Patriots and Red Sox tickets.
For details and registration information, please call toll free 888-525-0658 or visit www.scleroderma.org/chapter/newengland.
Proceeds from this walk will enable the New England Chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation to help people with Scleroderma and their families cope with the disease through support programs, physician referrals, education and research. Scleroderma is a chronic, often progressive disease in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues.

Thank you so much for putting this up on your web site. My son Eric started the WALK in my honor. (I can’t believe it’s still going.) Scleroderma is not easy to live with at times. The WALKS that we do are increasing awareness.
By putting the info on your web site hopefully we we will make more people aware.
Thank you,
Debbie Magnuson
