It’s Harvest Time:  According to a Facebook post from a real estate company, the Harvest Grille in Holden is for sale. The asking price is $925,000 if you are interested. The Harvest Grille has been open for about five years and a long time ago was the Jefferson House, an Italian American eatery.

When Pigs Can Fly: It looks like Marlboro has a new BBQ joint! The Purple Pig recently opened at 505 Boston Post Road West in Marlboro. According to their menu,the prices are reasonable. The Purple Pig is takeout only.

Canal Gets a New Place:  Loly’s Chicken, a Peruvian restaurant, has been quietly running the kitchen at 107 Water Street. The restaurant announced at the end of February that they were officially open. They specialize in Peruvian Chicken and other dishes from the South American country. They are only open Thursday to Saturday from 4:30 to 9:30 for orders.

Tis the Season:  We are now coming into food truck season. The town of Webster will be hosting a Food Truck Festival on Saturday May 11th from 12 to 7 pm at Webster Lake. They will have food trucks of course, but also live music and other vendors.  

When the Moon Hits Your Eye Like a Big Pizza Pie:  Woosta Pizza, a downtown Main Street fixture just steps from City Hall, turned off their ovens in the middle of March. The owners cited a lack of foot traffic downtown post Covid as the reason. They had been open for almost 30 years.

And the Winners Are:  The Fix Burger Bar with locations in Worcester, Leominster and Marlboro recently finished 5th on a list of the best places in Massachusetts to get a burger. Red Heat Tavern in Westboro and Milford finished 14th. The survey was conducted by Taste of Massachusetts.

Another Bite of the Apple: It looks like a new restaurant will be moving into the space that was most recently operated by Nuestra at 55 Pearl Street in downtown Worcester. More eateries in Kelly Square. It looks like two new places will be opening in Worcester’s Kelly Square. 11 Kelly Square will see the GV Lounge opening soon and across the square will be a new taco spot next to Subway.

Do Over:  We read on Facebook that Northboro’s AJ Tomailolo has undergone a major renovation recently, bringing the eatery into the 21st century

It’s Always Green:  63 Green Street in Worcester, which most recently was home to the Table Talk Pie Store and previously Union Tap, is seeking a new tenant. It already has a full bar and kitchen. Check it out,

Closings: A couple of local places have recently closed. After 67 years Ronnie’s Seafood on Route 20 in Auburn will not reopen this season. Helfand’s Deli on Worcester’s Highland Street has closed after two years in operation.

One Closes and One Opens: Thai Place in Shrewsbury’s White City has closed its doors, while the Thai Place in Sturbridge has opened.
