Dare to Make a Statement This Halloween…and Beyond!
By Katey Khaos
With Halloween just around the corner, it’s time to start planning some killer parties ~ and what’s the most important element? The outfit, of course! Instead of buying an over-expensive, generic sexy-something-or-other, why not look sexy and stylish with a piece from Suki’s Dareware collection?
Central MA’s Suki Jones, the sole creator of Suki’s Dareware, has taken the desire for original design to a whole new level! Since 2006, Jones has been creating and designing clothing that she says, “…best showcases women who are comfortable with their sexuality and want original designs not easily forgotten.”
Each piece is not only thought up and designed by Jones herself, but also hand-crafted as well, making each Dareware piece 100% original ~ you won’t find anyone else rockin’ the same design as you, which is a hard guarantee to make nowadays!
Jones’ designs cater to all sorts of occasions; think unique wedding gowns, club attire, fetish wear, costumes, and even everyday statement pieces. Why the vast range? Jones’ mission for her designs is to “…make the world a sexier place, one outfit at a time.”
Suki’s Dareware has been featured in numerous clubs as well as at countless fashions shows: “I enjoy seeing more and more of my work in the clubs when I do my fashion shows and I am looking forward to getting more of my work into local boutiques,” Jones explains.
Speaking of boutiques, how much would it cost to own a piece of this awesome clothing? It depends on a few things, including style, materials, and time. Keeping that in mind, Jones does her best to keep her prices reasonable. “Great and original fashion should not belong solely to the ultra-rich,” she says.

This designer is terrible, and I’m really surprised you wasted time interviewing her and wasted space on your site putting up an article about her. Her clothing is terribly constructed, and her “fashion shows” are a joke. She throws things together the day before or just pulls wrinkled “garments” out of plastic garbage bags and sends models down the runway to be humiliated in public. Most of the articles aren’t hemmed, and even the ones that are barely hold together because the seams are so poorly sewn. She only knows how to make two styles of tops, both pictured above, and one of “her” dresses is actually a Betsey Johnson dress she made a sorry attempt at putting some boning in that she tries to pass off as her own. A good number of the models in New England won’t work with her because she’s such an embarrassment, so she puts together motley crews of tubby strippers and 40 year old slags these days instead. (Ever been stapled into an unfinished dress with an office stapler? Or told the “top” you’re wearing down the runway is a piece of cloth she cut off the hem of the unfinished skirt she threw together? Her *FORMER* models have!) Do NOT waste your time or money dealing with her. Not only is she a horrible, talentless hack, she’s also a coward who can’t deal with criticism. Instead, she surrounds herself with lackeys who kiss her butt and tell her how great she is when anyone with half a brain and an ounce of sense knows the opposite is true. Save yourself the trouble and just steer clear!
I model and own Suki’s Dareware, these designs are definitely original! Suki has amazing taste and style. I wear my Dareware for every holiday or special occasion, her designs are comfortable and amazing to look at. If you want to stand out in a crowd and feel like you too should be on a runway I suggest you check out her site and spoil yourself with Suki’s Dareware you won’t regret it!
