Q: Whom does cellulite affect and why?

Dr. Hirsch:  Women are more predisposed to the appearance of cellulite due to the vertical nature of the fibrous bands binding the fat, which is in contrast to the more net-like appearance of the bands found in men.  Also, since women generally have thinner skin than men, we more commonly encounter this frustration among women.  Indeed, cellulite remains among the biggest complaints I receive from women on a daily basis. Dr. Hirsch: The hips, thighs, and buttocks are most prone to cellulite. These areas are where women have a propensity to carry weight gain and are also more resistant to weight loss from dieting.

Scientists at Vichy Laboratoires have conducted years of research and have found there are three types of the cellulite troubling women ~ Fibrous cellulite, Aqueous cellulite , and Adipose cellulite ~ and that most women have  at least two types.

Results

In a study Vichy Laboratories conducted on 50 women, skin texture was smoother on stomach, thighs and buttocks after 7 days of using CelluDestock, reducing the orange peel-like appearance. In 2 weeks, skin was firmer and more elastic. In 4 weeks, cellulite was visibly reduced by up to 1 cellulite grade*. Skin on the thighs and buttocks appeared more defined. In addition, the breakdown of excess volume was improved by 80%, even on areas predisposed to stubborn fat: hips, thighs, and buttocks. Forty-nine out of 50 also saw a reduction in the appearance of cellulite on pinching, and all 50 saw a loss in hip, thigh, and buttock volume.
