Are you curious about fashion? Ever thought of a career in interior design? How about designing products like iPods or cell phones? Out of Line Studios in Westborough offers the chance for kids and adults of all ages to explore their curiosity for design through a series of workshops, not mention get some great advice from a design guru.

Architect, designer and artist Stefanie Bradie, owner of Out of Line, has experience in creative fields across the board ~ after obtaining her undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture from Cornell University, she’s done everything from teaching art classes at the University of Nevada to creating “junk” sculptures in New York City to designing restaurant, retail, and office spaces. About her years of experience in a hodgepodge of art fields, she says, “Now I am all about all of it! Art, architecture, design is the language I speak.”

Stefanie welcomes budding artists to come in during Open Studio, when you can share creative ideas or just have fun making a mess. Out of Line also offers several intriguing workshops ~ of course there are your typical “learn-to-draw” sessions, but she also offers classes that may lead to an exciting career in design, like an interior design workshop. There’s a workshop for fashion design, where students create sketches and even produce a mockup with fabric samples and colors ~ just like in the fashion biz. There’s even a class for designing your own commercial product, like a gaming system or an MP3 player.

Two-hour sessions are held over eight weeks and go for $160 if you come once a week and $250 for twice a week ~ pretty darn reasonable for the quality of creative education you’ll get, and you might even wind up with a career in design!
