Drinks after work? A night out with friends? Special dinner date? Whatever the occasion, it’s not always easy to find a place that will suit everyone’s needs and tastes. If you want to satisfy even the pickiest members of your social circle, try introducing them to the Cellar Lounge and Wine Bar (It’s OK, I’ll let you take all the credit).

The Cellar Lounge and Wine Bar is classy without being stuffy. The sophisticated interior gives way to the laidback atmosphere and personable people you’ll encounter while there. The bar itself is gorgeous and showcases a wonderful selection of wines just waiting to be sampled. If you opt for a space at the bar, you have prime seating for friendly conversation with owner Steve “Sully” Sullivan or for a clear view of one of the two flat panel televisions hanging over the bar. There is also a nice outside seating area to enjoy the good weather while it lasts.

Whether you are there for drinks, food, or a bit of both, the Cellar will not disappoint. The wine list offers a great variety of both by-the-glass and bottle selections. Perhaps you need something with a bit more of a kick? Try their signature Cellartini, a mixture of Malibu Rum, Blue Curacao, pineapple juice and a super secret ingredient…tasty and mysterious. As for the food, while Sully is busy finishing up the Cellar’s own kitchen you can order delicious appetizers or meals from neighboring Castellana’s amazing Mediterranean menu. If all runs as scheduled, the Cellar’s kitchen will be open and running by Labor Day, offering a barbeque and grille menu even late into the night.

For the social butterflies out there, the Cellar has some great fall events in the works including a Patriots game day clambake scheduled for October 14th. Football, food, and fun… what more could you want? The Canal Marketplace, the business complex where the Cellar is located, is also host to a weekly Cruisin’ party on Sundays 3pm-6pm.

Take Cellar Lounge and Wine Bar for a test run, Monday through Saturday 3pm-2am and Sunday from 4pm to midnight at 90 Harding Street, in Worcester’s revamped Canal District.
