Worcester nightlife continues to heat up in August. Over at Voodoo Lounge every Thursday night is College Night, perfect for the 18+ crowd. Friday night is 18+ International Night with Exotic Fridays, Saturday it’s Top 40 Dance, and Sunday night is Reggae Fusion and an 18 and under dance party.
Every Sunday at the Lucky Dog Music Hall it’s the awesome retro 80s tribute Flock of A**holes. If you like your hair long and your pants tight, be sure to check out 80s hair band tribute Mullethead every Thursday. Monday is karaoke night with Punky, and Wormtown Wednesday Open Mic continues to rule Wednesday nights.
Troubador Whore takes over the last Thursday of every month at Ralph’s Chadwick Square Diner with solo performances by local favorites from a variety of different bands.
Barnone’s Friday night Tribute to the Old School is a perfect way to end the week with an old school dance party and DJ Xcalibur bringing you the best of 80s and 90s dance and hip-hop. Sophista-Saturdays with DJ Joe Rossi spinning the best dance, pop, and hip-hop by request is a great spot to end your evening out.
Over at Tammany Hall, Monday night is Open Mic, so get there early to sign up. Tuesday night continues the Eastern Poker Tour and Thursday it’s live music with Honor Roll Management and Booking Presents.
Funky Murphy’s features Jediah Wednesday nights from 10 p. m. to 1 a. m. Sundays at 8 p. m. it’s Terry Brennan singing a variety of Irish music and classic favorites. Sunday and Monday nights also feature 10 cent wings.
At the Irish Times, Tuesday Night Trivia is still going strong. Every Wednesday night is an 18+ Bike Night and also offers 2-for-1 entrees. Sunday has the Eastern Poker Tour featuring Budweiser product giveaways, and it’s Rehab Gone Wild every Friday night with cash prizes.
Bender’s Bar and Grill host its open mic every Wednesday night, and Thursday you can Mix It Up with DJ Bobby J. Friday night it’s a Dance Party in the back room with your host JP and the Shot Girls. Saturday night features a live DJ, and Sunday is karaoke night. Free wings are offered every Monday and Tuesday night.
Vincent’s schedule is growing with Have Blues Will Travel with Jon Short on Sunday nights. Every Tuesday Andy Cummings plays your favorites, and Wednesday come be entertained by Frank Morey and his band. Thursday night it’s Blues with Night Train.
Club Red 1888 throws an 18+ college party every Thursday night with DJ Xkaliber mixing the hottest hip hop, R & B, rock, Top 40, and old school classics. Fridays DJ Fahaldo plays the best Reggaeton, Bachata, Merengue, and Salsa in the BLU room, and in the RED room it’s the Official HipHop Jumpoff with DJ Chuck Chillin. Saturday is Heaven and Hell with DJ Hood-e in the RED room and DJ One-3 in the BLU room.
Creegan’s Pub hosts dart leagues every Tuesday and Wednesday with a tournament on Sunday. McGuire’s continues its karaoke night every Saturday.
