Holy Cross Ribbon Cutting for New $95M Athletic Complex

On Saturday, April 28, the College of Holy Cross will celebrate the dedication of the new Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex, 1 College St., Worcester.  The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. with tours and outdoor festivities.  Former Holy Cross Athletics greats are expected to appear at the event as well.  The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. with a speaking program inside the Hart Center Arena, followed by the ribbon-cutting at 1:45 p.m.

Leadership Worcester is Now Recruiting ‘18-‘19 Class

Leadership Worcester, sponsored by Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and Greater Worcester Community Foundation, is accepting applications for the 2018-19 class. Leadership Worcester is a program that gives opportunities to promising new professionals who aspire to take on and learn from an active leadership role in the Worcester community.

Clark University will host political historian David Greenberg, who will present History of White House Spin: From the Bully Pulpit to the Age of Trump on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 4:30 p.m., at the Higgins Lounge of Dana Commons.

Worcester colleges go green for Earth Day

On April 22, 1970, thousands of colleges and communities across America took part in Earth Day for the first time. Fast forward to 2015, and people around the world still use the day to focus on environmental concerns. One doesn’t have to go on a global expedition, however, to find people participating in the environmental movement. In Worcester, many college students will roll up their sleeves and engage in activities aimed at improving the welfare of our planet.
