It’s July Pulse Readers!
It is crazy to say, but we are already halfway through 2023! Since the start of 2023, we have seen so many fun and trendy new styles that center stage, and the trends for this summer are no different! Summer style is always my personal favorite; whimsical pairings, nautical patterns, and colorful blocks of color paint the season in such a cheerful way! So, if you’d like to see what is big-time trending for this mid-summer, keep on reading!
Mid-Length Hair: Ultra-long locks are definitely still in, but a cooler (literally and figuratively) way to ask for an updated cut this season is to request chest-length hair with a ton of volume-promoting layers. Curtain bangs can be added for additional drama and volume to frame the face. This is an updated take on longer hair, that makes getting volume as easy as blow drying with a round brush.
Graphic Tees: Eclectic graphic tees are always in, but they are especially on trend for the summer. Casual and whimsical, graphic band or pop culture tees add some visual interest to what would otherwise be a plain shorts-and-tee outfit. They can be paired with loose jeans, shorts, or even put over swimsuits as a cover-up.
Woven Handbags: Woven handbags are a great way to add a summer feel to any attire. Generally, depending on the shape and structure, woven bags can be dressed up or down, and can be worn as both more casual daytime pieces as well as nighttime pieces. Many big-name brands have their own versions of the woven bag, and many come in a wide variety of materials, sizes, and color combinations to accommodate any sense of style.
Layered Mix-and-Match Jewelry: Generally, I am a matchy-matchy kind of person when it comes to my jewelry metal types. But, tis the season to get creative and freely mix and match you jewelry all around. You can pair silver and yellow gold, platinum and rose gold, white gold and woven textile jewelry, and really any combination of the materials listed above that creates a look that matches your own personal sense of summer style. Pro Tip: I generally like to use no more than two different variations for a deliberate and tied-together look.
That’s it for this time Pulse readers. I hope that you have been enjoying Style Savvy, and I’m so excited to see what direction fashion, style, and trends take us in for the later half of the year!
