Music Worcester is pleased to announce a special performance by one of the best-known classical musicians of his generation, Yo-Yo Ma, at Mechanics Hall on Sunday, April 7 at 5:00 pm.

The program, “Culture, Understanding, and Survival – Six Decades with Bach”, will feature a performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Suites for Solo Cello No.’s III and VI by Yo-Yo Ma. It will be an example of culture’s power to create moments of shared understanding, as well as an invitation to a larger conversation about culture, society, and the themes that connect us all.

“We are very excited to have Yo-Yo Ma as a special guest performance this season,” Music Worcester Executive Director Adrien C. Finlay said. “His technical virtuosity is unmatchable and his engaging interpretative ability is one that will keep you in awe from beginning to end.”
