Looking for a fun, family-friendly place to visit over the weekend this summer? Starting Friday, June 22, Rick and Katrina Walton, of Moon Hill Brewing Company, and Al and Nancy Rose, of Red Apple Farm, are teaming up to turn the Red Apple Country Barn into The Brew Barn for the summer!
Open Friday through Sunday, The Brew Barn will offer eight Moon Hill beers on tap, plus a co-produced brew — Rick & Al’s Apple Ale. Additionally, Red Apple Farm’s barbecue has a full summer menu lined up. There will also be a special wagon stage, which is currently being constructed for live outdoor music, and there will be children’s areas and lawn games.
“This is just the beginning for our two families working together. We have plans, we have apples,” said Al Rose. Sweet cider is no stranger at the farm, but now collaborative efforts with Moon Hill Brewing Company are in the works to create hard cider as well.
“We’ve been doing festivals with Red Apple Farm for years now, but we’ve been interested in doing something longer-lasting that leverages our strengths in the community. The Brew Barn and our plans for hard cider will continue to bring new energy to our area of North Central Massachusetts,” said Rick Walton.
“Invigorating the local economy, neighbors working with neighbors, getting the country back into our lives, is what it’s all about,” Nancy Rose added.
The Brew Barn will be open 3-8 p.m. Fridays, noon-8 p.m. Saturdays and noon-7 p.m. Sundays during the summer (June 22-Aug. 12). For more information, visit redapplefarm.com or moonhillbrewing.com.
