How did you get into bartending?
It was random. I was out with a couple girlfriends, and I was approached by an owner. I was asked if I would ever be interested in bartending. I started shortly after that!

I’ve heard it all, but when a dude starts bragging about how much his dazzled up T-shirt cost, it’s a major turn off.

My personality. I like to joke around and make people feel comfortable. Being sexy isn’t just physical appearance; it’s about your attitude and how you carry yourself.
What’s your favorite thing to do on your time off?
My favorite thing to do is dance. I love being with my friends and hearing good music.

Simple drinks ~ flavored vodka with soda or Jack and Coke. I try to change it up, though. I am not picky, just no tequila!

How did you get into bartending?
My father opened a bar at the Worcester airport a while back, and he wanted me to be the bartender, even though he knew I had never made a drink in my life. So, I started off there three times a week and taught myself until I became the best. Ha ha ha … kidding.
Do you have a signature drink?
Stoli Ras, Peachtree, ginger ale and a splash of cranberry juice, squeeze in some limes, and you’ve got yourself a glass of amazing-ness.
What is the cheesiest pickup line you’ve heard at your bar?
I can hardly hear drink orders, never mind a pickup line, due to the music, but honestly, from what I do hear, it’s usually straight to the point: “Yo ma, can I get my tab and yo numba on it?”
What do you think makes you one of the sexiest bartenders?
Other than my irritable charm? I’d say my personality, for sure. I’m always in a good mood at work, and I love to have a good time, especially with my coworkers and customers. You can always find me behind the bar dancing and fooling around while I make you your drink. It’s hard to be miserable when you’re working with a ton of booze and great music!
What’s your favorite thing to do on your time off?
Light up a hooka, have a few drinks and laugh about nothing for hours with my friends.
What do you drink when you go out to the bars?
Being a bartender, you would think I’d know what to order when I go to bars, but truthfully, it takes me 10 minutes to think of a drink, and I always end up drinking a Bud Light bottle.
What’s your idea of a perfect date night?
A bottle of wine, take-out, endless amounts of movies, a freshly made hooka and my boyfriend. That’s my kind of perfection.
Do you have a pet peeve about customers?
I despise being called “Ma”or “Mami.” Last time I checked, I had no children.
What’s the one thing no one knows about you?
I am deathly afraid of closed spaces. I will never take an elevator in my life. I take the stairs everywhere I go, and I cannot go into a bathroom without a window I can get out of. I either go with the door open or a friend has to hold it open for me.
Find Cynthia Marie at The Boiler Room on Friday nights.
Matt Comeau ~ Lucky Dog Music Hall/Allora
Age: 31
How did you get into bartending?
I actually kinda fell into it. Years ago, I applied at TGI Fridays in Marlborough as a cook. The GM loved me, so she said she wanted to hire me as a bartender. It was a great opportunity ~ I made good money and met a lot of great people. Also, it gave me a great bartending foundation to work from.
Do you have a signature drink?
Not particularly, I just try to make what the person wants. I try my best to whip something up to suit their tastes.
What is the cheesiest pickup line you’ve heard at your bar?
You name it, I’ve heard it. It’s amazing how bold a few drinks will make someone. Older women are the funniest ~ they just don’t give a f**k at all. They’ll just throw it out there, like, “Hey, I wanna take you home.” Thanks, but no thanks.
What do you think makes you one of the sexiest bartenders?
I don’t know really. Maybe the fact that I’m an actual dude ~ no tanning, eyebrow waxing or hair products. A T-shirt and jeans and I’m good to go. I’m not going to take longer than my girlfriend to get ready.
What’s your favorite thing to do on your time off?
Spearfishing down in Narragansett/Newport with my Banner Pub boys, Fields and Bobby “You Can Get It” Morin. Spring through fall, we’re down there two to three days a week.
We’ve got to ask … have you ever dated a customer?
Nope. I feel like it’s not the way to go to find someone to date. I’m not trying to date a hot mess that leaves me her phone number, work schedule and cup size on a bar napkin.
Do you have a pet peeve about customers?
Faux hawks and shiny T-shirts ~ you look ridiculous. Also, yelling at me, snapping your fingers or throwing shit. All that is gonna do is make me want to punch you in the neck. When someone orders a frozen drink in December when you’re five people deep … sorry, blender is broken, ass.
What’s the one thing no one knows about you?
I wouldn’t say no one knows, but most people don’t realize I’m a chef during the day. I’ve been the head chef of several restaurants and currently am the executive sous chef for the DCU center.
Find Matt at Allora Tuesday through Friday and at Lucky Dog on Friday and Saturday nights.

What do you think makes you one of the sexiest bartenders?
I keep a smile on my on my face at all times behind the bar, even in the most stressful situations, and have just as much fun behind the bar as my customers. I also have gotten a compliment or two here and there on my tattoos, and my ears always seem to be the ice breaker when customers strike up a conversation with me.
What is your favorite thing to do on your time off?
I love going out on the town with my friends, having a few drinks, meeting new people and making new friends. Aside from that, my biggest passion in life would be motorcycle riding.
What do you drink when you go out to the bars?
I like to keep it quick and simple for the fellow bartender. My choice is always a rum and Coke. However, the night is not complete without a round or two of Dr. McGillicuddy’s shots.
What’s the one thing no one knows about you?
Well if I told you that, then everybody reading this would know!
Do you have a nickname? What is it?
I have been called “Woody” for as long as I can remember.

How did you get into bartending?
Honestly? I needed some extra moula! But it’s actually my night out also … woohoo!

Oh goodness, they are endless, but I would have to say the classiest was definitely “Are your pants made out of a mirror … because I can see me in them.”

A lot of people think you need to show skin to be sexy; to me, confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can have. It’s much sexier than any body part!
What’s your favorite thing to do on your time off?
Work hard, play hard! Expanding SuRAB Athletics, eating, playing basketball and competing in Crossfit, along with coaching my athletes of all ages at Crossfit Brutality, brings me so much joy!
What’s your idea of a perfect date night?
A perfect date night … hmmm. Let’s see, food must be involved, since eating and trying new foods is my favorite thing to do. A live sports game (any sport) and a peek at the stars to end the night, along with good conversation and maybe a chocolate shake?
Dogs or cats?
Dogs for sure! I love all animals, but I’m allergic to cats.
Do you have a nickname? What is it?
A couple … SaSa, SAM, or That Tall Girl to some.
Find Sarah at Michael’s Cigar Bar on Thursday or Saturday nights.
