Down to Earth Acupuncture will hold its second annual fundraiser for Abby’s House on Friday, Feb.22 by donating 50 percent of its proceeds from acupuncture treatments to the women’s shelter.
“Last year we raised almost $300 for Abby’s House,” said Emily Konstan, owner and practitioner.  “We would like to beat that number this year, and I know we can do it.”
Abby’s House, 52 High St., Worcester, provides social services for women and children, including shelter, counseling and transitional housing. Down to Earth Acupuncture patients who receive treatment on Feb. 22 will also be eligible for door prizes for a variety of health and well-being focused services, including massage and body work, chiropractic, personal training and fitness, life coaching, health and beauty, food and Nnutrition and prizes from Generation Gifts.
“We’ll have a donation jar for Abby’s House in our office all week,” said Konstan, “but people who come on Friday will be eligible for the prizes, can share our delicious snacks and can view the beautiful works of art we’re displaying by Kathy Hebert.”
