The team that brought 50,000 people to Park Ave. in September are announcing their annual holiday event! Worcester art staple stART on the Street brings its 7th annual gifting-themed arts and crafts festival to Worcester’s Union Station at 2 Washington Square on Sunday, December 2, from 11 – 5pm. This is a free event for all ages, though a $1 donation is requested to help offset costs.

As with all stART events, artists and crafters create only handmade goods. Wares range from textiles, stained glass, holiday cards and fine jewelry to photography, pottery, ornaments and so much more. A special preview hour at 10am is available for a $5 donation, which comes with coffee, baked treats and shopping ~ without the crowds. Admission after 11am is free, though donations to help stART remain a free event are welcome. stART coordinators have also created a pictorial retrospective book in celebration of stART’s 10th anniversary earlier this year. The book, as well as other stART merchandise, will be available for purchase at the event.

Union Station’s restaurants will offer a full bar and a light menu during the event. Luciano’s Cotton Club, inside Union Station’s Grand Hall, will also host a football lounge, so shoppers won’t have to chose between buying local and catching the game.

With over 100 local artists and crafters in one place, it’s so easy to support the local economy and buy handmade!

Parking is available in municipal lots and the Union Station garage, and there is an ATM on site. Coat check will also be available in the lobby.

stART at the Station is sponsored in part by the WOO card; be sure to stop by the Cultural Coalition table and swipe your card for double WOO points!
