It will be a birthday party like none other on August 11 at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds in Falmouth. Why? Because The Naukabout Music Festival of Cape Cod will be celebrating its 5th anniversary. The festival, which has become an annual celebration of New England’s homegrown music scene, is please to once again have the Ryan Montbleau Band headlining. A portion of the proceeds from activities and concessions at The Naukabout will support the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod. Tickets for The Naukabout are on sale now at www.naukabout.com and are $29 in advance, $39 day of show. Children under 12 will be admitted free with an adult. Gates open at noon.

The Naukabout main stage will rock with music throughout the day. In addition to Montbleau, the line-up includes John Brown’s Body, Adam Ezra Group, Dub Apocalypse, and the Dune Billy All-Stars featuring a collection of some of Cape Cod’s best musicians. For the first time, the side stage at The Naukabout will be solar-powered through a partnership with Cotuit Solar and will feature QSC Audio. The line-up on this stage will include sets by Tall Heights, Will Evans from Barefoot Truth, the Jeff Conley Band, and Baker Thomas Band featuring Danielle Miraglia.

The Naukabout is more than a music festival and it’s a perfect destination for the entire family. Throughout the day, there will be a host of family-friendly activities including those from the Cape Cod Children’s Museum and Ocean Quest. The Little Beach Art Garden, curated by Hyannis-based Little Beach Gallery, will showcase local artists and craftsmen.

The Naukabout has forged a unique partnership with The Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod to help raise funds for their “Great Futures Start Here” campaign. The organization needs to raise $150,000 to provide funding to meet the increased demand for an affordable after-school and summer program to serve Cape Cod children and teens. In addition to raising both funds and awareness for the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod at the festival, The Naukabout will partner with the organization on programs and activities throughout the summer.

“Over the first four years of the festival, The Naukabout has evolved into a celebration of the very best local and regional music,” said Jeff Conley, festival director and one of the artists performing onsite. “This year’s festival will not only showcase great music but also provide the opportunity for other great artisans from the area to be represented. We are thrilled to strengthen our connections to the Cape community through our new partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod.”

The Barnstable County Fairgrounds is located at 1220 Nathan Ellis Highway, Route 151 in East Falmouth, MA, 02536. Gates for Naukabout Five open at noon. Festival hours are noon to 10:00pm. The event is rain or shine. Tickets for the Naukabout are $29 in advance and $39 day of show at the gate.
