Cali Cosmetics is a collection of bath, body and hair care products based upon Italian beauty secrets.

Nestled in a small town in the outskirts of Rome along the Mediterranean Sea, the Cali Beauty Farm dates back to the 19^th century. The Cali family believed olive oil was “Liquid Gold” and a “Nectar of the Gods” and passed on their recipes and beauty secrets for generations and generations. Baronessa Consuelo Cali founded Cali Cosmetics in 1996 in an effort to spread Italian beauty secrets through the world, while maintaining the integrity of her family’s original recipes.  She has since developed over 100 products including skin care, bath and body and hair care products featuring Italian olive oil (Oliva) and Sicilian blood oranges (Tarocco).  The newest member of the Cali beauty family is the Tarocco collection, discovered by Baronessa’s great great grandfather, Gesualdo Di Naro. He loved the unique “red orange” for its anti-oxidant properties. “Generations have enjoyed and benefited from our family recipes and it’s our philosophy to treat the outside and the inside of our bodies with the same care while using the finest ingredients,” says Baronessa.

I was lucky enough to get to sample the Tarocco products and it instantly became my favorite line of beauty creams, shampoos, scrubs and conditioners.  The orange scent is absolutely intoxicating ~ nothing fake there, you feel as though you’re in an orange grove as the scrubs (rough enough so that you know they’re working, gentle enough not to feel scratchy or damaging like some other brands) leave your face and body glowing and the creams just melt into your skin.  And ladies, who doesn’t love walking by that certain guy in the office and hearing, “Wow, you smell delicious!”

Cali Cosmetics recently inked a deal with the The New York Botanical Gardens. Their entire collection is now sold in the museum of plants’ gift shop, In The Garden.
