Having a goal and setting that goal in motion can sometimes be difficult, but more often than not, it is worth every bit of energy you have to exert ~ and this is what Linnea Sheldon found out when she signed on to participate in an Olympic distance triathlon to raise $2,700 as part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training (TNT). That’s because the cause is so near and dear to her heart that everything involved in the 6 weeks of training (including battling pneumonia!) was absolutely worth it in order to make her fundraising goals.
As part of those efforts, Linnea will be hosting a show at the Lucky Dog Music Hall with the help of the Continental Promotions Group. The event takes place May 8 at 9 p.m,. with all the proceeds going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The night will include performances by Nytmare, DJ Shame, Nite People, and 7 Minute Stagger. Tickets are $8 at the door. The Lucky Dog Music Hall is located at 89 Green Street in Worcester. Linnea plans on completing the 1.5k swim, 44k bike ride, and 10k run on June 6 in Newfound Lake, NH.
