One More Italian. Il Ricardo recently opened at 226 Westminster St in Fitchburg and serves traditional Italian-American food as well as subs and pizza. They are open seven days a week at 11am and close at 10 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 9pm all other days. Contact them at 978-345-4046.
Mexico on Millbury. According to our sources, a new “real” Mexican restaurant has recently opened at 169 Millbury St., in Worcester’s Canal District. Bha Grill serves Neo-Mexican cuisine. Last Minute. The Last Minute Café recently opened in Worcester’s Quinsigamond Village. The café, owned by Dean Bergstrom, is located at 35 Blackstone River Rd (the old Millbury St.) in a space that once housed the Mediterranean Café. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. All prices are in the $5 range.
Hearthstone gets new owner. The Hearthstone Inn & Restaurant at 453 Main St. in Sturbridge has a new owner. Nicole Barran will operate the Inn and a new restaurant. Stay tuned for details about the eatery.
G’Vanni’s finally opens. G’Vanni’s Ristorante Italiano at 55 Pearl St. in Worcester finally opened its doors for business the first week of December. It was a rather long reconstruction process given the fact that TiNoVo, which previously occupied the space, had only been open 2 years. John DeCristoforo is the Chef/Manager. EVO opens. The restaurant at the Living Earth at 234 Chandler St on Worcester’s West Side has reopened as EVO. The full name is EVO, American Dining Evolved, and the restaurant uses organic ingredients and is Vegan friendly. EVO is under the management of Celeste Maykel and her brother Al is the Head Chef. Their parents own the Living Earth.
