A New Place to Mangia!exterior.jpg

Looking for a new place to feast on the best of what Italy has to offer? You don’t have to dish out every last penny for a trip to Venice. Via Alto brings you there in an instant!

Located on 27 High Street in Clinton, MA, Via Alto has generated some buzz in the greater Worcester community. Co-owner Christiana Ernst moved to the states last July from Rome, Italy and has been working with her husband and co-owner Anthony Michael Ernst to make Via Alto the destination for Italian cuisine. Christiana gained a lot of experience in the biz by working 10 years for her father in the family business. Christiana explains that “People loved to feel like they are in Italy,” and that’s what this humble restaurant does for its customers. The staff works diligently and cohesively to create a successful atmosphere in this family run affair.

Prices for lunch items range from $7-$12 and dinner specials are around $25. For what you pay, you can be guaranteed to receive the best in quality.

The restaurant also has a bar, which showcases many different types of liquor to tantalize your taste buds, and a mezzanine room upstairs that holds up to 50 people and is open on the weekends. “It can be used for functions, etc.,” Christiana says.

The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday and closed Sunday, with the kitchen open from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The bar is open 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
