Start the school year off right by hitting every club in town! There’s something to do every night, and here’s a list to get you started.
Bender’s Bar has something planned Sunday to Saturday, starting the week off with Karaoke on Sunday and free wings Monday and Tuesday nights. Wednesday night is Trivia Night with Punky and Kyle, and Thursday mix it up with DJ Bobby J. Finish the week off with a Dance Party on Friday with JP and live DJ and dancing Saturday night.
Irish Times and Rehab have been a long-standing college favorite, and this year they’re sure to keep that title. College night on Tuesdays features Karaoke, open mic, a live DJ in Rehab, and a chance to win a Spring Break getaway. Wednesday through Saturday there’s always entertainment going on with DJs spinning and live music.
Over at the Lucky Dog Music Hall, fans of the 80s are still rocking out to Mullethead every Thursday and Flock of A**holes every Sunday night. Monday night Karaoke with Punky & Company is almost too hot to handle, and the mainstay Wormtown Wednesday Open Mic still draws the mid-week crowd.
Jediah is over at Funky Murphy’s every Wednesday from 10 to 1am, and on Sundays it’s one of the hardest working musicians in town, Terry Brennan, singing a variety of music for your pleasure. Sunday and Monday nights are all about ten cent wings, and on weekends the club scene after 10 is even hotter.
Tammany Hall continues its open mic every Tuesday and poker night every Wednesday. McGuire’s keeps on with Karaoke every Sunday night.
The Compound also offers Karaoke with Kimmy P. every Tuesday, open mic night with Bean every Wednesday, MTV’s DJ Reckless spinning in the club every Friday, and Jammin’ 95.4’s Hustle Simmons entertaining every Saturday.
Vincent’s continues to be a great place to sit back, relax, drink a beer, and take in some great music. Sundays, Jon Short’s Have Blues Will Travel is on from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. and Tuesday nights Andy Cummings plays your favorites. Wednesday brings Frank Morey and his band, and it’s Thursday Blues with Night Train getting you ready for your weekend.
Due to popular demand, Ralph’s Diner has expanded its Metal Thursdays to the first and third Thursday of every month, and Tuesday nights Andy Cummings puts his spin on your favorite covers. Wednesday nights it’s Frank Morey entertaining downstairs.
Doherty’s has become quite the college party. There’s something going on with JP every Sunday. Monday is Funday with Minor and KTK. Enjoy Tear It Up Tuesdays with Charlie & Johnny and Wednesdays it’s P-Wheezy and Mystery Girl. Thursday it’s JP and Minor, Friday it’s Dan The Man on the bar, and Saturday it’s the return of JP and KTK.
Barnone continues to bring the funk with Ladies Night every Thursday with DJ Joe Rossi playing music by the ladies’ request. Friday night it’s a Tribute to the Old School with dance, pop, and hip-hop from the 80s and 90s. Saturdays are only for the Sophistisexy, with everybody’s favorite DJ Joe Rossi spinning the latest dance, pop, and hip hop.
