Programs
Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art that is based on dynamic body movement and harmonizing with the energy of an attacker. People flying through the air are a common sight on an Aikido mat, and there is often a smile and daily life lesson to be taken away in addition to valuable self-defense applications. Adults and teens of all ages and children 6 – 12 yrs welcome.

Zen Meditation is the spiritual discipline that underlies all the training at Zen Training Center, Inc. Though not practiced as a religion, a deeper and broader connection to your essential self and a greater sense of awareness can be gained from sincere study. This practice is not for the faint of spirit as it is often characterized by the intensity of forging yourself as a sword-maker forges raw ore into pristine steel.
Japanese Language Classes are a great way to embrace the culture and traditions of the Japanese. Starting with beginners and building toward proficiency, you will be able to speak, read and write this useful and increasingly popular language.

Ikebana is traditional Japanese flower arranging and a practice closely associated with Zen philosophy. This program begins this month, so don’t wait to jump in and learn more about the simplistic beauty of the Far East!
Japanese Water-Color Painting is yet another art of elegant and simple beauty done with brush and ink. The samurai of feudal Japan were often students of fine arts with countless comparisons made between brush and sword.
Yoga is yet another discipline that uses breathing and posture to unite the mind and body. An excellent practice for overall health and wellness!
