Summer is a great time to shake up your weed routine. Worcester’s weed scene continues to grow with a couple new dispensaries opening, delivery services expanding, and new products hitting menus weekly. Whether you;re looking to check out one of the city’s newest shops or give delivery a try, here’s a quick guide to a few places worth exploring this summer.
Joint Operations – 142 Southbridge Street
One of Worcester’s newest dispensaries, Joint Operations, has breathed new life into the former Trulieve location that had been vacant for a few years.
Shoppers may appreciate the familiar location paired with a new team and menu. If you haven’t stopped by yet, it’s worth checking out their menu to see how things are going.
Products to look for:
- Flower: Pretty much anything from Your Highness. Its the most expensive flower on the menu, but worth the $35 price tag for the quality you’re getting. If you’re shopping on a budget, the High Supply and M1 brands have a few options under $20.
- Vapes: The vape selection is deep, almost to the point of being overwhelming.A one-gram cartridge from the Crude Boys brand is a solid place to start, while Charge Bars two-gram vapes offer plenty of value for heavier consumers.
- Edibles: Kahna’s Live Rosin Sour Belts are undoubtedly one of the best edibles I’ve ever had in Massachusetts. At $20 a package, it’s a no-brainer suggestion. The hardest part is choosing a flavor: Blueberry Lemon, Sour Cherry Limeade, and Strawberry Lemonade are all winners.
The Corner Emporium – 40 Jackson Street
After years of anticipation, The Corner Emporium has finally opened its doors. Joining a market that’s already packed with options, this newcomer is making a strong first impression with their aggressive pricing. For shoppers who enjoy checking out the newest places in the city, this should be on your list
Products to look for:
- Pre-Rolls: With more than 30 options priced at $5, there’s plenty to explore. I’d recommend starting with Martian High. Their pre-rolls are packed more like traditional cigarettes than cones, creating a noticeably different smoking experience.
- Flower: The menu leans heavy on brands like Bostica, M1 and Northeast Alternatives. Not a single eighth is priced over $25 which is crazy to say considering the rest of the market. If you’re only grabbing one thing, I’d start with flower from Northeast Alternatives or Bostica.
- Edibles: The value section shines here. A handful of 100mg packs are under $10, including the Blazing Blue Raspberry gummies from Sapura, which is one of the best bargains on the menu at just $7.
Delivery Spotlight: Magic Dragon
One of Worcester’s newest delivery services, Magic Dragon has slightly flown under the radar to the casual consumer, myself included. But if you’re looking for weed with a dash of convenience, this place is worth trying out.
What I’d Order
Harbor House’s Permanent Marker eighth would absolutely be the first thing in my cart. If that’s sold out, I’d happily grab almost anything else from Harbor House. At $28 an eighth, it’s some of the best value to quality flower you’ll find on any menu in the city.
Ultimately, the best dispensary in Worcester is the one that consistently carries products you enjoy. That’s why it’s worth it to explore different menus, try our new shops, and occasionally shop outside of your normal routine. This summer, consider giving one of these operators a shot. You might find your new favorite product in a place you haven’t visited before.
