Pulse Magazine Announces Chili and Chowder Fest Winners
Worcester – On September 21st, Pulse Magazine hosted its 5th Annual Chili and Chowder Fest at Compass Tavern.
Over 500 local foodies attended and watched as 14 competitors battled for the title of Best Chili and Best Chowder. Attendees were able to try the chowder and chili from some of Worcester’s top eateries. Music provided by Stubby Philips and the Flatheads was also part of the festivities.
Judges selected the winners based on taste and presentation while attendees also got to vote and select their favorites.
The winners of the 5th Annual Chili and Chowder Fest were announced and Mayor Joe Petty presented their trophies at the end of the event. The winners for Best Chili were: 1st Place Holy Cross College, 2nd Place Puffin’s Restaurant in Millbury and People’s Choice awarded to Center Tree Bar & Grille in Rutland.
The winners for Best Chowder were: 1st City Bar in Worcester, 2nd Place Holy Cross College, and People’s Choice awarded to Buck’s in Worcester.
