With the holidays just around the corner, do you lack inspiration on what presents to get your dog? Why not have his/her portrait taken at Alternative’s Pooch Portrait Fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Alternatives is a non-profit human services agency currently serving more than 2,000 adults with developmental and psychiatric disabilities in 55 residential, employment and day programs throughout Central Massachusetts. Money raised will support the people with disabilities Alternatives serves in the Greater Worcester area.

Dog owners are encouraged to bring their canine family members, along with any humans they wish, and have a festive photograph taken by a professional photographer. The initial sitting fee is $30 ($25 if you pre-register online) and $20 for each additional pose. By pre-registering attendees will both save money and be able to pick a half hour time slot for their glamour shot. Walk-in guests will be first come, first served. All sittings will run approximately 10 minutes. Photographs will be digital and delivered by email.

Attendees should keep in mind:

  • Cash or check only. No credit or debit cards will be taken
  • All dogs must be leashed and under control
  • Please walk your dog prior to the event. Dogs photograph better when they have been exercised.

Alternatives is located at 454 Grove Street, in Worcester. Pre-register at www.PoochPortraits.Eventbrite.com.
