Alternatives’ Free Summer Concert Series returns for its 7th year starting tomorrow!
The concert series, sponsored by Lampin Corporation, UniBank, Alternatives and VAlleyCAST, starts at 6 pm and ends as the fireworks begin at 8 pm on Linwood Ave. The series continues every Thursday evening until August 31st on site at Alternatives’ Whitin Mill, Douglas Road, Whitinsville, MA. Nearby at Uxbridge First Holiday Night, refreshments are available for purchase.
Sponsor ValleyCast is geared towards promoting inclusive and creative community involvement with the promotion and education of the culture, arts and sciences in the Blackstone Valley.
ValleyCast is a subsidiary of Alternatives, a non-profit dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities throughout Central Massachusetts enrich their lives in their community. Director of Community Outreach Cristi Collari spoke of the concerts’ stance as “our way of bringing people of all abilities together and also a way of giving back to the community.” Collari went on to emphasize the generosity of the bands and sponsors.

Kick-Off Concert: Friday, June 30th, Blackstone Valley Community Concert Band (sponsored with a special grant from the Northbridge Cultural Council)
Ends in time for the fireworks on Linwood Avenue!
