The Worcester Railers Hockey Club has announced that the Worcester Railers Foundation has teamed up with the Worcester Telegram & Gazette Santa Fund for a Holiday Power Play promotion!

To kick off the Holiday Power Play, the Worcester Railers Foundation donated $10,000 to the Santa Fund at the Legendary Evening Featuring with David Ortiz event at Mechanics Hall on Nov 11 to kick off the holiday partnership.

In addition, the Railers Foundation will make a $200 donation to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette Santa Fund for each $50 deposit for a Railers HC membership now through January 15, 2017. Each new Railers HC member will have their name appear in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette as a donor per deposit (if a member purchases four memberships – an $800 donation will be made in their honor).

The goal is to receive 500 new memberships between now and January 15 for a $100,000 donation. The Railers had 1000 members at the start of the promotion and need 1500 members before the ECHL Board of Governors meeting on January 18 to become official.

“The Railers are committed to the community,” said Myers. “The Railers Foundation is please to support local families in need this holiday season. By showing your commitment to the Railers today, we will show our commitment to the central Massachusetts community.”

With just a $50 per seat deposit, memberships can be purchased by calling the Railers front office at 508-365-1750 or by visiting www.RailersHC.com. Full season memberships start at just $432 for 36 regular season games at the DCU Center.
