Summer is barbecue season. We’ve got five simple tips to make your summer barbecues simple and fun.
- Set up the backyard with designated areas for specific tasks. For example, outline one area for serving food, one for lounging and dining, one for drinks or a self-serve bar and one for games and activities. This will prevent congestion in one location of the yard.
- Use an outdoor rug to add color or to define a particular area in the yard, deck or patio. This helps to anchor the outdoor setting and create a cozy, intimate feel.
- An area that many people often overlook is outdoor lighting. Because lots of summer parties occur after sunset, it’s important to create ambiance for the evening hours. Add ambiance to your table décor by using a TIKI Brand Glowing Table Torch as a centerpiece. Use OFF! / BiteFighter Torch Fuel with it to keep pesky bugs away.
- Make sure there are enough places for guests to rest a drink or plate while they are seated or standing. Place small side tables around the area or for a more creative spin, paint a wood stump in a bright or metallic color that can be used as a unique table.
- Don’t forget the accents. If your seating will allow for it, add outdoor pillows. For a major statement, hang colorful artwork or an outdoor mirror to a fence, patio wall or even a large tree.
