In honor of the many contributions women have made in history and in honor of Women’s History Month in March, UsTrendy will be donating a percent of every sale to a women’s charity, with the people voting to select the charity through month of February.
Through this contest, UsTrendy hopes not only to give back to the community but also through its voting process in February to spread awareness for each of these women’s charities, which help people get back on their feet to become contributing members of the community.
“Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by poverty or domestic abuse. As a growing company, I feel we need to do all we can to help our own community,” says UsTrendy Founder and CEO Sam Sisakhti. As one of the leaders in women’s independent fashion and online e-commerce, UsTrendy would like to do its part to give back.
UsTrendy has listed four charities on their site ~ UsTrendy.com ~ and is providing a write-in option for people to suggest other charities. The charity that receives the most votes during February will receive the donation.
The voting began on February 1 and will end on February 28. The winner will be selected on February 28th and the donation will be made April 1st, at the conclusion of Women’s History Month. What makes this year’s Women’s History Month even more special for UsTrendy (a company that utilizes technology and innovation) is that the theme for 2013 is Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination.
