thePULSEIn November, an anonymous benefactor gave ArtsWorcester a major gift to spur the creation of new art by local members of ArtsWorcester. To be awarded for three consecutive years, the Material Needs Grants will support the expenses of supplies and equipment. An annual sum of $5,000 will be divided into individual grants from $500- $1,500.
The benefactor was very clear about the focus and intent of these grants. Supplies are expensive, and that expense often means that new art simply doesn’t get made or ideas are adjusted to the cost of supplies. These grants offer local ArtsWorcester members the chance to imagine beyond their current budgetary limits.
All Artist-level members of ArtsWorcester who reside in Worcester County are eligible to apply for a Material Needs Grant, regardless of experience. You may join ArtsWorcester when you apply.
