Flyleaf’s New Horizons Available Now; New Drowning Pool Album Coming Spring 2013

 By Staff

Multi-platinum-selling Texas rockers Flyleaf and Drowning Pool will hit the road on a co-headline tour of the United States. It’s a special run for the bands as it marks two new singers: Flyleaf welcomes Kristen May and Drowning Pool welcomes Jasen Moreno. The tour is Flyleaf’s first in support of their acclaimed third full-length album, New Horizons, and the announcement comes as Drowning Pool’s new single “Saturday Night” is already #38 on the active rock radio chart, even though the official impact date isn’t until January 7th.

About the impending dates, Flyleaf guitarist Sameer Bhattacharya shares, “We’re excited for everyone to experience Kristen May’s powerful and inspiring voice as she joins us on stage.”

Bassist Pat Seals echoes his excitement: “I can’t wait for these new songs to happen live for both longtime and new fans.”

Drowning Pool guitarist CJ Pierce adds, “We’re excited as hell to get back out on the road and hang with our fellow Texas rockers Flyleaf. We’ve done some radio shows together in the past but this will be our first real run together. I know Flyleaf has great new line up and some amazing new tunes. We’ll be playing a killer mix of songs from our catalogue and some new tunes as well. Looking forward to rocking out with everyone.”

Drowning Pool premiered “One Finger and a Fist,” another track from the upcoming album, on WWE’s Slammy Awards.

Meanwhile, critical acclaim keeps pouring in for New Horizons. Alternative Press gave it 3-out-of-5 stars, ARTISTdirect.com called New Horizons Flyleaf’s “Best album to date,” and Bloody-Disgusting lauded it as “fantastic.”

Flyleaf recently unveiled their official music video for “Call You Out,” which premiered on VEVO. For more of the latest news on Flyleaf including tour dates, head to their official site and their Facebook and Twitter pages ~ and make sure to pick up a copy of New Horizons on iTunes now!

Drowning Pool turned the world into believers with their breakthrough single “Bodies” in 2001. Ten years and four albums later, they gave fans a new reason to believe. “Feel Like I Do,” the lead single from their self-titled fourth studio release [Eleven Seven Music, 2010], became the band’s biggest radio hit to date, reaching No. 2 at Active Rock Radio and remaining in the Top 5 for 12 weeks.  With 2009’s “37 Stitches” off of Full Circle reaching #4 at Active Rock and “Feel Like I Do,” the band had 2 consecutive Top 5 Active Rock smashes and cemented their place as one of the top hard rock acts today. The band’s fifth album, and first with Jasen Moreno, is due out Spring 2013.

Catch the bands on Feb. 23 at The Webster in Hartford, CT!
