Carnival of Madness

The third annual touring rock extravaganza featuring a killer lineup that includes Evanescence, Chevelle, Halestorm, Cavo and New Medicine will be stopping in Boston on Monday, August 6 at Bank of America Pavilion.

Grammy Award winning band Evanescence has sold more than 25 million records worldwide with the help of frontwoman Amy Lee’s powerful, chilling, and just plain beautiful voice that led to Top 10 hit singles including “Bring Me To Life,” “My Immortal” and “Call Me When You’re Sober.” The group released Evanescence (Wind-Up Records), their highly anticipated third studio album ( and their first album in five years) in October 2011. Standout hits included “What You Want,” “Made Of Stone,” and “My Heart Is Broken.”

Platinum-selling alternative hard rock trio Chevelle released their latest and sixth full-length album Hats Off To The Bull (Epic Records) in late 2011; it debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart at #19 and features two #1 hit Active Rock singles, “Face To The Floor” and “Hats Off To The Bull.”

Pennsylvania quartet Halestorm released their second full-length album, The Strange Case of… (Atlantic Records) in April of this year; it features the first single and Active Rock hit “Love Bites (So Do I)” (c’mon, that’s a great song title!).They previously had two top 10 singles (“I Get Off” and “It’s Not You”) from their self-titled debut album.

St. Louis, MO’s Cavo sophomore album Thick As Thieves (Eleven Seven Music) was released in April as well and features the Top 20 Active Rock title track along with their next single, “Circles.”

New Medicine injects a little hope into hard rock on their debut album Race You To The Bottom (Photo Finish Records), which features the first single, “Laid,” co-written by Scherer and producers S*A*M & Sluggo, and the title track, which has been getting plenty of radio play.
