Creativity Abounds in Unexpected Ways in This Juried Photography Exhibition

alternativefocus_emailThe Davis Gallery proudly presents its latest exhibit, Alternative Focus, featuring the work of local artists using historical and non-traditional photographic processes. The gallery enlisted local photographers Scott Erb and Donna Dufault to jury the exhibit. Together they selected 45 works ranging from pinhole photographs and cyanotypes to smart phone images and digital collage. The exhibit will be on display from November 3, 2011 through January 27, 2012.

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, November 3 from 5 -7 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be on hand.

Location

The Davis Art Gallery is located on the third floor of the Printer’s Building at 44 Portland Street, Worcester, MA 01608. Parking is available on Portland Street, as well as in the McGrath lot on the corner of Myrtle Street and Salem Street.

The Davis Art Gallery is a space developed to promote the arts in the Worcester area. Past exhibits include painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and digital media.

Hours

Opening: Thursday, November 3, 5-7 p.m.
Regular Gallery Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The exhibition will run through January 27, 2012
