online-ent-bill-gaal-from-copyBill Gaal is rarity in the music business.

With 20 years of experience under his belt, Gaal has not only played both sides of the field; he has played almost every position on that very field. Getting his start on the East Coast before relocating to Los Angeles in 2003, Gaal the musician has toured the world, packing houses and pleasing a legion of fans as part of the early ’00s metal titan Nothingface. He has sat behind the boards, serving as a producer, engineer and mixer, having co-written and co-produced all of that band’s five releases.

He didn’t stop there. He has flexed other creative muscles, too, writing songs spanning multiple genres from rock to metal to country. He has placed his songs on TV shows and in films. He served as an in-house producer and songwriter at Level 7 Artists.

He also worked in artist management at Morey Management Group, helping to guide careers of other musicians and bands for nearly two years before returning to songwriting and music production full-time via his 201o-formed GMG production company, where he owns and operates a studio in the famed SoundCity complex. He even put the floor in himself, which is just a sign of how literally hands on he is with the projects in which he is involved.

As if he weren’t already covering all the bases on the playing field we mentioned earlier, Gaal is now working on a rock ‘n’ roll project called In For the Kill. While bass was his primary instrument in Nothingface, he has turned his focus to the guitar and vocals and is exploring his love of rock music in this new outfit.

With an alternately enviable and impressive wealth of experience in all facets of music, be it on the road, in the field, working on both coasts, twiddling the knobs or penning the songs, few possess the know-how and real world experience that Bill Gaal does. He’s a versatile and interesting music business jack of all trades. And this is just the tip of the iceberg ~ stay tuned for more news on In For the Kill.  In the meantime, NF fans can check out Bill’s interviews for some Nothingface related info and info about future projects at www.nothingface.com.
