Motivation, Consultation, Supplementation

fun-copyFebruary is here and if you’re anything like us here at Pulse, you’re already losing sight of your weight loss resolution. If you’re on the verge of giving up and buying larger pants, STOP! Put down the donut and read on?

I recently caught up with Anthony Pasquale, the owner of Mass Muscle Maker in Auburn. A nationally-ranked body builder, Tony is competing for Mr. USA this year. After serving four years in the Air Force and working for the Department of Defense, Tony decided to follow his true passion: “Mass Muscle Maker is a business I’ve been planning for a long time. Healthy eating, exercise, and helping people conquer the never-ending cycle of failed lifestyle transformation success.”

Tony has been bodybuilding since he was just 17. He won overall champion in NPC Garden State (2009), 2nd place in NPC Atlantic City (2006) and Mr. Patriot Champion (2005). “I have tried every supplement I sell and actually know what these products taste like! Nothing worse than buying a canister of something you find unpleasing.”

He says the most crucial requirement for losing fat is mental preparation. “Failure to plan is planning to fail. Most individual’s biggest diet pitfalls are rooted in lack of preparation.”

The location is composed of retail and consultations; the latter are scheduled by appointment. Consults range from weekly updates and weigh-ins to AAI programs and contest preparations. Personal training and boot camp sessions are conducted at Powerhouse gym locations in Auburn and Webster.

His advice for aspiring bodybuilders is consistency. “A symmetrical body is built one day at a time. Don’t miss meals, train within your own limits and don’t try to do what you see pros in magazines doing. Focus on making steady gains utilizing a balanced diet of proteins, fats and a precise amount of carbohydrates.”

PrintSurprisingly, Tony’s main business comes from the bridal market. “The bridal program is very customized. No two brides are the same. “If they tell me they want to lose 16 pounds, then I need about seven weeks. I don’t like to see a woman lose more than two pounds a week. It’s unhealthy. You can be healthy and maintain a fit-friendly lifestyle while indulging on treats. The key is preparation!”

Tony continued, “It’s not just weight I focus on, it’s everything. I want to see their entire physique morph and develop. Arms tone, curves form, skin tighten. Basically I strive to make everything flow through the use of training adaptation, diet, supplementation, cleansing, and overall enhanced awareness of healthy living.”

If you want to beef up, slim down, or aim for anything in between, Tony’s your man. Stop by and say hi at 872 Southbridge Street in Auburn.
