The preferred store of weekend warriors and serious musicians alike has recently opened to sell, purchase and trade music equipment, such as guitars, amps, drums, band instruments and professional audio equipment at 843 Worcester Road, Suite H in Natick.

“We have a sincere commitment to music and are excited to serve the needs of musicians, students and families in Natick and surrounding areas,” said Phil Chernin, owner of the new Music Go Round in Natick. “We have new inventory coming in every day and perusing through our store gives customers that ‘treasure hunt’ feel.”

After studying percussion for a decade and performing with several bands, Chernin has spent the past 27 years in a non-musical career as a consulting environmental engineer. Once he found the opportunity to fuse his professional interests with his musical interests through the reuse and recycling of musical instruments, Chernin decided to reignite his passion for music and open a Music Go Round in his local community to encourage local musicians to keep their musical aspirations alive.

Chernin knows that a good instrument will last generations, but unfortunately many fine instruments are left lying in a closet or an attic when they could be providing joy to a musician. His new store caters to musicians at all levels, providing everyone from beginners to professionals the opportunity to try out a new instrument at a low cost. Practice rooms are available for those interested in perfecting their craft, as are lessons for any level musician who wishes to improve his or her skills on any instrument ~ or vocally. On-site instrument repair services are also available by some of the most respected instrument craftsmen in the area.

“Our store is fun and we encourage you to play our instruments. Take your time, sit down, and find the instrument that is right for you. The environment will allow experimentation and exploration,” Chernin added. “We look forward to working in the Natick community and helping our customers look to us as their No. 1 resource.”

With 35 locally owned and operated Music Go Round locations in the United States, more than 125,000 used musical instruments were recycled to other music lovers in their stores in 2009.
