Dog is Good is the premier brand for pet lovers with style, created to celebrate the joy and love dogs and humans inspire in each other’s lives. Dog is Good was created by Gila B. Kurtz, a professional dog trainer, and J. Nichole Smith, a professional pet photographer, both of whom wanted a way to combine their passion for dogs with fashion. Launched in 2008, its clever designs are inspired by the individuality of the creators’ three dogs, as well as the myriad of dogs and dog lovers they meet every day who remind them that “Dog is great, Dog is good, let us praise him like we should!”

Their products were included in the Emmy Award Gift Baskets and won over celebrities including Neil Patrick Harris (“I’ll wear this to the dog park!”) and Randy Jackson (“Man I love that – who thought of that?”). Their limited-edition, organic “Dog is Green” tee was chosen as the VIP gift for Pet Fashion Week 2008.
