It’s official ~ even though we’re still getting a few chilly nights, summer is HERE! And what does summer mean? Time to get out there and have some fun!
Vincent’s has great music every day of the week, starting with Andy Cummings on Tuesday night, continuing with Frank Morey and his band on Wednesdays, Night Train on Thursdays, and then a different local favorite taking the stage on Sat and Sun. Then Have Blues, Will Travel with Jon Short caps off your weekend.
Every Wednesday at Barnone it’s DJ 1 3 and DJ Hoodie tag teaming old school and mash-ups. On Thursdays, it’s Art Beatz stepping up to the DJ table. Every Fri, it’s Old School Tribute and on Saturdays, get ready for “The 1 N’ Only DJ Tony Rossi.”
Summer is here, so we can love Mondays again ~ so come celebrate with Karaoke Monday Nights with Punky at The Lucky Dog! The fun starts at 9 p.m. Come back on Wormtown Wednesdays for Open Mic, and then catch Flock of A**holes onstage every Thursday night and The Sunset Strippers on Sundays (with special openers).
The Irish Times has one of the fullest weeks around. For Tuesday Night College Night, you get Tuesday Night Trivia plus Karaoke and an Open Mic (downstairs) and a live DJ at Rehab (upstairs). Terry Brennan brings the music to Thirsty Thursdays, and the area’s best cover bands are the soundtrack to your Friday and Saturday nights on the downstairs stage. And everyone knows that Sundays starting at 7pm belong to the Eastern Poker Tour.
Tammany Hall still brings us the best in local live music ~ and the variety of bands playing there now is terrific. As if that weren’t enough, there’s also Tuesday Night Open Mic and Wednesday Night Poker (starting at 7pm).
Creegan’s Pub has you covered midweek with dart leagues on Tues and Wed nights ~ and a tournament every Sunday. But stop by any night of the week for billiards!
Wow! Wings! Eat your fill for just 10 cents each at Funky Murphy’s on Sun and Mon nights ~ and on Sundays, you’ll also get to enjoy the Irish tunes of Terry Brennan.
Got pool? Breakaway Billiards does, every Mon, Sat and Sun. Tuesdays mixes things up with a mixed dart league and a weekly Texas Hold ‘Em Card league. Wednesdays you’ll find a women’s dart league, and on Thursday it’s Karaoke with Jimmy P.
Know lots of stuff? Then Benders Bar’s Saturday Nights Trivia with Punky and Kyle is for you ~ and don’t forget there’s music and dancing all weekend long.
McGuire’s brings Karaoke to the bar every Sat night from 9pm to close, so get ready to show what you can do!
Warm up your pipes every Tues night at Blu Ultralounge on Water Street with Karaoke ~ then have some Martinis with Mama and join the dance party on Wed. Things get even hotter on Thursdays with The Steam Room Dance Party with Patrick Allen, and the heat continues with High Voltage Friday nights with DJ Mike Electra and Stupid Saturdays with DJ Tony T. End your weekend with a bang with Lady Sabrina’s Lip Sync contest and a dance party with host Patrick Allen on Sunday night.
Want to dance? Every Thurs night it’s an 18+ college dance party at Club Red with DJ Xkaliber (bringin’ the hottest in Top 40, hip hop, rock, mash-ups, R & B, and old school) ~ Doors open at 10:30 p.m., so bring your school ID and get reduced admission. Fri nights in the Red Room feature Bongos with DJ Fahaldo (get ready for Reggaeton, Bachata, Merengue, and Salsa), and the Blu Room presents the Official Hip Hop Jump-Off with DJ Chuck Chillin. Get extra sexy on Sinful Saturdays, when showing some skin will get you in.
