Award-winning North Oxford photographer Teya Rutherford is helping support the battle against breast cancer one portrait at a time. For the second consecutive year, she is holding Portraits for Progress, a portrait event to celebrate the bonds between women and to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. This year, the event will be held Saturday April 12 and Sunday April 13. Says Teya, “I am expecting my second daughter, which this year has made me especially aware of the bonds between mothers, daughters and sisters. I’m thankful to be able to give back to the community while celebrating the sisterhood between women.” Last year, Teya Rutherford’s Portraits for Progress event raised more than $1,000 for Susan G. Komen’s Massachusetts affiliate.
