Spring and warmer weather are right around the corner. St. Patrick’s Day is coming. C’mon, if those two things alone don’t make you want to go out and have a good time, I don’t know what would!
In honor of St. Patty’s Day, let’s start off with what’s going on at The Irish Times. For Tuesday Night College Night, you get Tuesday Night Trivia plus Karaoke and an Open Mic (downstairs) and a live DJ at Rehab (upstairs). Terry Brennan brings the music to Thirsty Thursdays, and the area’s best cover bands are the soundtrack to your Friday and Saturday nights on the downstairs stage. And everyone knows that Sundays starting at 7pm belong to the Eastern Poker Tour.
For the headbangers out there, The Compound in Fitchburg presents Metal Mondays to start off your week. Ah, nothing beats the smell of AquaNet in the air. Hit The ‘Pound the next night for Tuesday Night Karaoke w/Jimmy P., too. Get your weekend started with Jamm’n 94.5’s Hustle Simmons in the club on Fri and keep the party going upstairs on Sat with MTV’s DJ Reckless and Supa spinning with live music onstage.
It’s Ladies Night w/ DJ Joe Rossi every Thurs at Barnone. Every Fri it’s Old School Tribute and get ready for the sexiest dance, hip hop, and pop requests on Sophistasexy Saturdays.
The revamped Tammany Hall might have changed its look, but one thing hasn’t changed ~ it still brings us the best in local live music. As if that weren’t enough, there’s also Tuesday Night Open Mic and Wednesday Night Poker (starting at 7pm).
What do you mean, you hate Mondays? Let Karaoke Monday Nights with Punky at The Lucky Dog change your mind. The fun starts at 9pm. Come back on Wormtown Wednesdays for Open Mic, and then catch Flock of A**holes onstage every Thursday night.
Creegan’s Pub has you covered midweek with dart leagues on Tues and Wed nights ~ and a tournament every Sun. But stop by any night of the week for billiards!
Got pool? Breakaway Billiards does, every Mon, Sat and Sun. Tuesdays mixes things up with a mixed dart league and a weekly Texas Hold ‘Em Card league. Wednesdays you’ll find a women’s dart league, and on Thurs it’s Karaoke with Jimmy P.
Know lots of stuff? Then Benders Bar’s Saturday Nights Trivia with Punky and Kyle is for you ~ and don’t forget there’s music and dancing all weekend long.
Vincent’s has great music every day of the week, starting with Andy Cummings on Tuesday night, continuing with Frank Morey and his band on Wednesdays, Night Train on Thursdays, and then a different local favorite taking the stage on Sat and Sun. Then Have Blues, Will Travel with Jon Short caps off your weekend.
McGuire’s brings Karaoke to the bar every Sat night from 9pm to close, so get ready to show what you can do!
Want to dance? Every Thurs night it’s an 18+ college dance party at Club Red with DJ Xkaliber (bringin’ the hottest in Top 40, hip hop, rock, mash-ups, R & B, and old school) ~ Doors open at 10:30pm, so bring your school ID and get reduced admission. Fri nights in the Red Room feature Bongos with DJ Fahaldo (get ready for Reggaeton, Bachata, Merengue, and Salsa), and the Blu Room presents the Official Hip Hop Jump-Off with DJ Chuck Chillin. Get extra sexy on Sinful Saturdays, when showing some skin will get you in.
Wow! Wings! Eat your fill for just 10 cents each at Funky Murphy’s on Sun and Mon nights ~ and on Sundays, you’ll also get to enjoy the Irish tunes of Terry Brennan.
Warm up your pipes every Tues night at Blu Ultralounge on Water Street with Karaoke ~ then have some Martinis with Mama and join the dance party on Wed. Things get even hotter on Thursdays with The Steam Room Dance Party with Patrick Allen, and the heat continues with High Voltage Friday nights with DJ Mike Electra and Stupid Saturdays with DJ Tony T. End your weekend with a bang with Lady Sabrina’s Lip Sync contest and a dance party with host Patrick Allen on Sunday night.
