Reichen Lehmkuhl invites us all to Fly Naked
By Rick Garner

At the beginning of the year, we were lucky enough to interview Reichen Lehmkuhl ~ actor/model/author/ activist/famous boyfriend/pilot ~ about his book, his relationships, his experiences in the military, and about life in and out of the Hollywood spotlight. And over the past couple of months we’ve been telling you about LoveandPride.com, the premier on-line jewelry, clothing, and information destination for the gay and lesbian community.

Now, Reichen and Love and Pride have teamed up to present the FLY NAKED with Reichen jewelry, a collection of rings, bracelets, cuff links, money clips and key rings inspired by Reichen’s love of aviation; many of the designs incorporate propellers and wings and all are crafted in titanium, the same material used to build aircraft.

Love and Pride creator Udi Behr, longtime civil rights advocate, a friend of Reichen’s and a former soldier in the Israeli army, which allows gays and lesbians to serve openly, recalls, “One day I was visiting Reichen in LA and noticed the words ‘FLY NAKED’ on his license plate. I immediately thought what a perfect name for this collection! Fly Naked is about being sexy, of course, but it’s also about being brave and bold and true to yourself. That’s what Reichen is and that’s what this collection is really all about.”

10% of L and P revenue is donated to non-profit organizations that support GLBT equality, including Lambda Legal, SLDN and the Matthew Shepard Foundation. “Servicemembers Legal Defense Network is proud to be the beneficiary of this exciting new line from Reichen and LoveandPride,” said Steve Ralls, SLDN’s director of communications.  “Every FLY NAKED purchase helps SLDN in our mission to end discrimination in our armed forces.  Our supporters now have a unique opportunity to support SLDN’s work through this partnership. As this new collection vividly reminds us, bravery and patriotism know no sexual orientation.”
