This month, the clubs and bars around town are warming up in honor of spring with some hot happenings every night of the week.
First off, the Irish Times is hosting the Eastern Poker Tour on Sunday nights. Players can sit down to a meal and compete in a free Texas Hold-‘em poker tournament, which can then qualify them for a seat in the World Series of Poker. Tuesday night Trivia (TNT) is still going strong, and on Wednesday night you can take to the main stage for some karaoke.
Over at the Lucky Dog Music Hall, Flock of A**holes bring the funk every Sunday night. Monday night is karaoke, and Wednesdays are devoted to the crucial Wormtown Wednesday. Thursday nights 80s hair band wannabes Mullethead rocks the club.
The Kelley Square Yacht Club is still offering open mic on Wednesday nights. Sundays Jason James continues his residency in the Ship Room. Thursday nights Allie Bombz is hosting open tryouts for his next film on the Kelley Square Yacht Club.
Over at Tammany Hall it’s college nights on Wednesdays featuring Sam James and Jell-o shots. Tuesday night is open mic night ~ get there early to sign up.
At the Compound out in Fitchburg Tuesday night is karaoke night, Wednesday is open mic, Friday nights feature MTV’s DJ Reckless in the club, and Saturday nights features Jamn 94.5’s Hustle Simmons.
Bender’s Bar (formerly Foobar) gives away free wings every Monday and Tuesday night and offers an open mic Wednesdays.
Bar None on Grafton Street has DJ Joe Rossi spinning old school every Friday night, and top 40 every Saturday.
