Every Tuesday at Tammany Hall it’s open mic night. Musicians are welcome to come down and take the stage to test out new material, get in some practice, or just check out the venue. Wednesday night features singer-songwriter and Craig frontman Sam James.

Over at the Lucky Dog Music Hall, Monday Night Karaoke is still going strong, and as is Wormtown Wednesday. The weekend kicks off with Mullethead on Thursday night and ends with Flock of A**holes Sunday night.

McFadden’s is still running their always-popular college night Wednesdays. Ralph’s Chadwick Square Diner is offering up a metal night every Thursday. At The Compound in Fitchburg, Friday nights mean MTV’s DJ Reckless spinning in the club. On the turntables Saturday night is Jamn 94.5’s Hustle Simmons. Tuesday night is karaoke and Wednesdays still offer open mic.

London Billiards puts on college night every Thursday with Pritty Boy, DJ Prince, and DJ Flex. Foobar is planning on changing its name to Bender’s Bar and Grill but is still offering free wings on Monday and Tuesday night; Wednesdays they’re trying out a new open mic night in the back room.

Sunday night at Vincent’s features Have Blues Will Travel with Jon Short, and Frank Morey and his band take over on Wednesday nights. The Java Hut welcomes the Poet’s Asylum every Sunday night, featuring different poets every week.

So whether you’re just looking to kick back and relax or you really want to get your groove on, there are plenty of options. Now you just have to figure out when you’re going to fit in homework!
