The Path to the Mass Bay Film Festival is Paved with, well, Films!
By Brian Goslow

While the schedule for this year’s Mass Bay Film Festival won’t be announced until Oct. 2, don’t worry about organizer and head honcho Rob Newton keeping busy. He’s been showing movies every Monday night at Ralph’s Diner ~ September’s offerings include “Lurking in Suburbia,” “Horrors of War,” and “The Camden 28.” He’s pulling out his mobile outdoor screen for the Green Street Block Party commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Rolling Stones playing at the location now housing the Lucky Dog Music Hall on September 2, when he’ll screen “Stoned,” the recent film on the life of original Stones guitarist Brian Jones, as well as for a new “Classics on the Common: Film Noir Under the Stars” series on the Worcester Common on 3 consecutive Sat. nights beginning Sept. 16. Just in case Newton’s got nothing to do the month before the festival, he’ll be hosting “The Haunting of Higgins” film series on October 12, 19 and 26 at the Higgins Armory Museum.
