Equilibrium Productions ~ Andrew Ball, Rich Belba and Jason Luippold (DJ Anima) ~ is presenting “Balance Sundays,” an electronic music night, every Sunday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the FooBar, 433 Park Avenue. The night will stay fresh thanks to a rotation of DJs including Sneaker and the Dryer (breaks), DJ T-Dubs (house/breaks), DJ Phalynx (dnb/garage/house), DJ Insanity (techno), Mr.Riddle (house/techno), and Edison-Cos (drums and bass). North Worcester County has a new open mic every Thursday night from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Our Place, 124 Main Street, Gardner. Hosted by Cosmic Moxa, each performer gets 15 minutes of stage time and additional five to 15 minutes at the end of the night if time permits. A featured performer takes the stage at 10 p.m. John Gerard will appear on April 6 and Josh Bowdridge on April 20. “If you just come on by and you didn’t bring a guitar we’ve got an Ovation acoustic/electric we’ll happily let you use, and keyboards too for all those piano players,” says Cosmic Moxa’s Nancy Valois. The Lucky Dog Music Hall, 89 Green Street, will be hosting “Comedy Night” on the last Wednesday of each month with two performances at 10 and 11 p.m. According to SummitComedy.com, sponsor of the show, “…many of the entertainers have appeared on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, HBO, Showtime, Star Search, MTV, A&E, and Comedy Central.”

Indian Ranch in Webster is getting an early start to its 60th year of operation. The first of its monthly comedy nights begins on April 1 (no joke!) with headliner Dave Andrews plus John David and Dave Rattigan.
