Happy New Year!

How will you ring in 2005?

December 2004Firin’ things up at Dante’s — Hungry for BBQ and Blues? Mosey on down to Dante’s, “where the music sticks to your ribs.” Recently opened at the site of Firefly’s Restaurant in Marlborough, Dante’s is “not just a lounge-act room. It’s made for bands,” says general manager Ben Butler.

Dante’s is a fully equipped performance space that just happens to feature Firefly’s award-winning menu of BBQ and other Southern fare selections.

When asked, Butler excitedly recommended the St. Louis Ribs with Beelzebar Sauce, a Scovie Award-winning sweet, tomato-based barbeque sauce with brown sugar, molasses and chocolate that is a spicier version of their Memphis Sauce (of course, Firefly’s Memphis Sauce has also won 20 national awards). Butler suggested topping off the ribs with Sweet Potato Pecan Pudding, Corn Bread, Cuke Salad and an ice cold draught beer or succulent sweet tea.

Don’t miss Dante’s New Year’s Eve party, with bands and cover TBA.
