I've been a fan for several years now and have really been looking forward to the continuation of the Lawson series. I'm a big Robert B. Parker fan also, and I love the similarities in style. Jon's Lawson novels have that hard-boiled noir 'feel' that I enjoy so much, with the addition of the paranormal thrown in for good measure. :) Thanks for the article and update on Jon’s work! The Lawson character is different from your average vampire, which is so refreshing considering all the vampire books out there. Also, Merz's writing style is quick, concise and action-packed. His books are fast and intriguing reads that will keep you on the edge of your seat 'til the last page. One piece of advice: don't read the Lawson books if you're trying to fall asleep--you'll stay up all night glued to it, wondering what's going to happen next.
